Don’t be surprised to encounter Ebenezer Scrooge himself when the Crafty Ladies’ Christmas Bazaar opens at 11 am this Friday, December 4. The vast array of handmade gifts and decorations will put the Christmas spirit into the heart of even the most curmudgeonly grouch.

The Bazaar is open from 11am to 7 pm on Friday, December 4 and 10 am to­ 4 pm on Saturday, December 5. In addition to the hand-­sewn and hand­crafted Christmas items, there’s also a bake sale with many delectable home-baked goodies.

And as time goes by the trees in the orchard blossom, and the blooms develop into fruit, and the sunlight causes the fruit to ripen; the orchard is able to feed the people and the animals alike.

Sermon: “Hovering over Troubled Waters”

Thrift Shop Celebrates Five Years, Honors Volunteers

TS celebration 1The Thrift Shop Team hosted a festive lunch for the congregation on Sunday, September 27 to celebrate the shop’s five successful years, to honor the volunteers who keep it running smoothly, and to acknowledge the congregation’s support.

The Thrift Shop ministry began in March 2011 with the primary purpose of “recycling” gently used goods to people in our neighboring communities at bargain prices. Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing is always in great demand. The shop also offers housewares, small appliances, jewelry, books, games and puzzles, and a variety of other items.
