The Crafty Ladies’ Christmas Bazaar will be held Friday, December 4, 11 am – 7 pm and Saturday, December 5, 10 am – 4 pm. The sale will consist of unique handmade gifts and decorations. There will also be a bake sale, the proceeds from which will go to support local families in need.
NSUMC will host The Glorification Singers in concert on Saturday, November 14. We welcome all in the community to enjoy an evening of Christian music by one of Eastern Long Island’s favorite groups. The doors will open at 6 pm, and the concert will begin at 7 pm. Tickets are available now: $10 for adults, $5 for students, children five and under, free. Before reading the excerpt from this past Sunday’s sermon, close your eyes and take a moment to think about something that is troubling you, really troubling you, perhaps a sin you are struggling with or some deep grief or regret, and hold it a moment in your mind’s eye. Then when you open your eyes take a series of three deep breaths, and then read the amended lyrics from this popular song, and think of Jesus and let the words penetrate you:
The Thrift Shop Team hosted a festive lunch for the congregation on Sunday, September 27 to celebrate the shop’s five successful years, to honor the volunteers who keep it running smoothly, and to acknowledge the congregation’s support.
The Thrift Shop ministry began in March 2011 with the primary purpose of “recycling” gently used goods to people in our neighboring communities at bargain prices. Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing is always in great demand. The shop also offers housewares, small appliances, jewelry, books, games and puzzles, and a variety of other items.
