Poetry by Jeanette Dowdell: “In Times Like These”

inspiration

Many sources of inspiration surround us,
We must find them in order to accept our fate and succeed,
One is obvious, necessary, and a constant blessing,
We should take our cue from nature,
Be as reliable to ourselves, as nature is to itself,
It seems to know when to do, what to do, and how to do,
Who directs nature’s course?
How does the sun know when to shine and where?
How do the stars know when they can be seen, when to sparkle and twinkle?
How does the tide know when to ebb and flow?
How do the flowers know when to break ground grow, die, and grow again?
Is it simply multi-happenings?
It is times like these that inspire me, fill me with love and a longing to live forever,
But then again, I will,
No creation is worthless – all has value,
A God creation is unsurpassed, majestic, and constantly inspirational,
I feel every life mark in all creation,
I absorb the beauty, and every day, silently say with joy…
